Anatomy of Fake Review of One Stop Motors

"OSM Direct/One Stop Motors is the BIGGEST telemarketing SCAM around. They will take your money and you will never hear from them again. You will be unsuccessful in disputing the charges with your credit card company because OSM Direct / One Stop Motors will doctor false documents showing that they posted your ad when they didn't. Auto Trader does not recommend to use them due to the number of complaints they have received. There are hundreds of complaints on Google and I have been contact 3 times to join a class action suit. Beware of this company they are nothing but a scam."

Let's break down this fake review:

"One Stop Motors will doctor false documents showing that they posted your ad when they didn't.  One Stop Motors will doctor false documents showing that they posted your ad when they didn't."

This of course is not true.  If we said we posted your ad then I can assure that is exactly what happened.  If you are in any doubt about this, all you have to do is call 877-566-MOTORS(6686) to call and verify that your ad is posted.  If it isn't for any reason, rest assured knowing that it will be put up immediately as soon as it is brought up to our attention.  Under no circumstances would we ever "doctor false documents" to get your money; if we followed processes such as this how could we have stayed in business for so long, and so many cars?

"Auto Trader does not recommend to use them due to the number of complaints they have received. "

Sounds like Auto Trader (our biggest competitor) talking here.  So of course they would say things like this.  Who knows how many other fake reviews they have created out there about us, the underdog in the industry. This has been an ongoing problem for us.  To our credit, and perhaps unwisely, we do not engage in similar type of attacks against our competitors.  We are simply too busy marketing thousands of vehicles for our customers that we don't have extra time to attack people with fake reviews.  I guess we just have too much class to resort to such low level tactics on our customer's dime.

"Beware of this company they are nothing but a scam."

How is One Stop Motors a scam?  We guarantee to market our customer's vehicles until they are sold, and we can easily furnish proof of this if requested.  We have a very aggressive marketing campaign, and we help match dozens of buyers and sellers every day.

This review is the definition of a fake review.  There is nothing about a vehicle being listed, and does not show any evidence that the reviewer even attempted to contact us with his issue, because if he or she did, they would have been promptly assisted with their issue.  It just doesn't seem like this review is describing an actual event; it's just there to spread lies.

It just doesn't feel like a real experience.  Working in the customer service department at OSM, I see everything that goes on here, and we are very sure to handle credit card disputes promptly.  Please note that our fee is not refundable after the first 24 hours, per company policy: .
